xuber DOs & DONTs

Please read this page with care, as it explains the dos and don'ts, the ins and outs, the ups and downs (and everything in between) of being a member of the xuber. These policies only apply to xuber.com.au. If you still have questions after reading these policies, feel free to contact us.

We expect all members of xuber to treat each other with respect and kindness. Remember that behind every username is a real person with feelings. Your username on xuber is your identity. You are responsible for your conduct and all content submitted under your username on xuber.

  • By joining xuber, all members agree to abide by the policies outlined here and in the Terms of Use.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age to hold an account on xuber. If you are under 18, you must have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who is at least 18 years of age; that adult is responsible for the account.
  • You may not use profane or racist language or images in your username.
  • You may not transfer ownership of your xuber account to another party.
  • Usernames cannot be changed except in the event of documented legal action (such as trademark infringement) at xuber's discretion. Choose your username carefully.
  • A xuber account cannot be used for the sole purpose of redirecting traffic to another web location, even if it is another xuber account. Please contact us to have your account closed if you are no longer using it.
  • Keep your account information updated and accurate. You can update your account details when you are logged in, in the dashboard at the top right corner. Your account must have a valid email address at all times. xuber will use the email address on file in your account information to contact you when necessary.
  • xuber encourages all members to resolve their own disputes. As a venue, xuber cannot mediate disputes between members or other parties.

Breaking any of xuber's policies may result in suspension of account privileges and/or account termination. This includes all of your accounts by virtue of association. In other words, xuber reserves the right to suspend the use of the site for a person and all username(s) he/she operates under.

Multiple accounts held by one person

Having more than one account ("multiple accounts" or "alternate accounts") is not something xuber encourages, as it has the potential to cause confusion. Keep in mind that accounts cannot be merged in any way, so if you change your mind later, you will not be able to transfer information from one account to another.

  • You may not use an alternate account to purchase items from yourself. This is called "shilling."
  • xuber will not issue refunds for accidental activity stemming from multiple account ownership, like listing items in the wrong account.
  • You may not list the same unique item in more than one account on xuber.

Conversations

Conversations (also called "Convos") are your way to communicate privately with other xuber members. It can be via email, phone or post. Conversations are primarily intended for communicating about transactions. Members may also have conversations to build friendly relationships with one another, seek advice or discuss activities. Please use common sense when giving out personal information to others.
  • You may not send unsolicited advertising or "spam".
  • You may not harass or abuse another member. (If someone explicitly tells you not to contact them, you must not contact them again.)

xuber is not liable or responsible for any agreements made in between conversations.

Buying an item

Below are the site policies for the buyer in a transaction:
  • When you purchase an item on xuber, you agree to pay the seller, xuber and the nominated non-profitable organisation for the item. Do not purchase items for which you do not intend to pay.
  • The buyer must send payment directly to xuber via PayPal.

Transactions

All transactions made from buyer is made to xuber via PayPal.

xuber will transact 70% of the total purchases made in xuber to seller on the 1st of every month.

Problems with a transaction

There are a few reasons a transaction may be reported to xuber:
  • If payment is not sent within a reasonable amount of time and the buyer has not responded to the seller's attempts at communication, then the seller may cancel the transaction (i.e., cancellation for non-payment, reported by the seller).
  • If the seller cannot authenticate the buyer's identity, then the seller may cancel the transaction (i.e., suspected fraud, reported by the seller).
  • If the buyer does not receive the item in a timely manner and the seller has not responded to the buyer's attempts at communication, then the buyer may file a report about the transaction (i.e., non-delivery, reported by the buyer).

Defaulting on transactions may result in suspension of account privileges and/or termination. Be sure to stay in contact us if you have an open transaction report.

Selling

You can sell any fashion items you hand-made, owned or brand new at xuber.

This section outlines the items that can be listed for sale on xuber.

Dropping an item in Drop Box

  • All items must be shot clearly and not digitally modified.
  • It is preferably shot with a model wearing the item.
  • Only submit 161x161 pixels sized image. Any image(s) dropped with xuber and is not according to the specified size, will not be uploaded.
  • All items must not be damaged, faded from wash or out of shape. It must be in a good condition.
  • Any complain lodged about your item can risk your membership being terminated without prior notice.
  • Each listing must be an item available for purchase.

Describe your items accurately

Accurate titles and descriptions are a critical to selling on xuber. Keep these policies in mind as you describe your items:
  • Listing descriptions and photos must clearly describe the item for sale so buyers know what is included in the purchase.
  • The shipping price should not be included in the item price.
  • A listing should not be created with an unrealistic price in order to keep it from selling. You may price an item how you choose, but please be reasonable.

Transactions

xuber will transact 70% of the total purchases made by buyers to the respective sellers on the 1st of every month, 15% of the total purchases made by buyers to the nominated non-profitable organisation on the 1st of every month, and the remaining 15% of the total purchase made by buyers to xuber.

It is important for the seller to provide with the updated bank account details to xuber, in order to avoid any delays or problems with the transaction.
  • Listing descriptions and photos must clearly describe the item for sale so buyers javascript:noop()know what is included in the purchase.
  • The shipping price should not be included in the item price.
  • A listing should not be created with an unrealistic price in order to keep it from selling. You may price an item how you choose, but please be reasonable.

Services

  • Services including graphic design and digital pattern distribution are not allowed to be listed unless they provide a tangible, physical item.
  • Digital file (.pdf, .jpg, .doc, and so on) is allowed to be distributed.

Production assistance

  • The item's description must disclose the use of a third-party vendor (providing a name is not necessary, but is encouraged).
  • Items are subject to xuber review. If we determines that the vendor's involvement comprises or suspected to be damage, faded from wash or out of shape, it will be removed from xuber.

Prohibited items

Some items are inappropriate for xuber's fashion spot.

You may not list the following types of items on xuber:
  • Decorative items
  • Household items
  • Computers
  • Books
  • Alcohol
  • Tobacco
  • Drugs
  • Pornography
  • Firearms and/or weapons
  • Recalled items
  • Real estate
  • Motor vehicles (automobiles, motorcycles, boats, etc.)

Mature content

  • Mature content is defined as: sexual activity or content, inappropriate body exposure, profane language or graphic violence.
  • Items containing mature content is not prohibited and will be removed immediately.

xuber reserves the right to alter these policies at any time.
